Life in the overlap

Probably i am in this alone or there are many out there that are in the same situation with me. I have chosen to call this life in the overlap because of what goes in my mind all the time.

Paul talks about his difficulties in Romans 7; the things i what to do these i do not do and the things i do not what to do these i do, paraphrased.

How many times are we caught up in such situations, personally, i have been there many times but is Paul offering a consolation here for our short falls? My answer is a definate no, i believe the point Paul is putting across is that we shall always fall but that shouldn't stop us from seeking God's purity and holiness. This is a reminder that when we fall, however much it happens God still wants us to be like his Son Jesus which means getting up, asking for his forgiveness with sincerity of heart and getting back straight into the battle field.

Now this is what i call love. When Jesus says we should forgive 7*77 times, he actually understands that people will always let us down and will need our forgiveness all the time but how would that be practical if God never did so every time we fell short of his glory?

All Paul is doing is to encourage us not to give up and fall back to the devil's charms but to set our eyes to God even when we have fallen.

I write this with alot of guilt because to me, whenever i read that potion of scripture, the one question that comes to my mind is, have i truely forgiven my father or am i just ignoring him and pretented it's ok. I dont have a proper answer for that yet and you may be asking yourself, what is with this guy and his father, well that will be coming very soon in the blog but for now brother, sister lets try how level best to keep focussed on what the Bible teaches us about Juses' life and try to emulate that under all circumstances.

It is not easy but it is worth it.
